Five friends embarked on an Atlantic Ocean crossing by sailboat, giving Benjamin the opportunity to explore the world before an incurable genetic disease claims his vision.

It all started back in 2021

When Benjamin knew about his disease, in 2019, he was living in Martinique and had to come back in France to do several ophthalmic exams.

Just after returning, he met Clement in Corsica and, a year and half later, became his first model.
Then, they have been living together in Milan and Barcelona, developing their friendship, sharing great moments.

When Benjamin explained to Clement about his disease, they thought a lot about how to find a way to talk about it. After a few months of reflection and preparation, they presented the Horizon Project to a member of Giorgio Armani’s staff.

The project therefore consisted of crossing the Atlantic, sponsored and publicized by the brand, in order to give visibility to Usher Syndrome & Retinitis Pigmentosa, to launch a fundraiser and to realize Benjamin’s dream before he loses his sight.
